In 2010, a European Health Services Research Conference will be held on 8 and 9 April in the Hague, the Netherlands.The main theme of the conference is: “The future of health services in a unified Europe”.

 

The conference will focus on the European added value of HSR, tuned to the information needs of health policy makers. It will be open to members of the research community, as well as policy makers in the EU and its Member States. By addressing both target groups, the conference can contribute in promoting effective interfaces between the research community and policy makers for the benefit of scientific underpinning of health care policies.

The foundations of the conference programme are the cutting-edge contributions from researchers in the field, combined with the outcomes of the state-of-the-art studies and the results from the consultation round. The conference will include a platform for challenging scientific insights as well as active contributions in dialogue and debate, by means of targeted workshops, round table meetings and discussion groups.
